Will Penn is back after a two-year sabbatical, and we are excited to share CW2000. This follows up from ‘Stijl’ released in 2020. The tracks blend Breaks, Bass, UK Techno, and 140, showcasing Will Penn’s evolving sound in his production.

CW2000, aka Crocodile Walk 2000, is a road close to the former coastal dwellings of Will Penn, which sets the scene for this moody track. We envisage a dystopian free party held on the white cliffs, where no one can see further than a few meters in front of them, being solely guided by honking foghorns. This is complemented with a broken kick groove and tightly locked percussion, which will get heads bopping. As the fog clears from this night, so too the track opens out with transcendental synths that put the whole crowd under its spell. Overflowing with an array of FX and textures, this track leaves you wanting more.

MPCD1, aka Michaels Parkinson’s Can Do One, is a playful broken groove with chunky breaks and light, watery FM-infused synth lines that you just can’t get out of your head. The bass and kick act as an anchor, keeping us on the straight and narrow, while a whole host of FX and synths orchestrate in call and response, likened to birdsong circa 2099.
